FAQ
Can you play my special song?
Yes, we can do most requests- we can accommodate up to three personal requests for each event. If we do not have the song in our repertuire, there will be an additional cost for purchasing/arranging of the music and rehearsal time.
How and when do you require payment?
We request payment a week in advance or before. We prefer it by bank transfer, but other forms of payment (cheque, cash) are accepted. A receipt will be issued once payment is received.
Does my venue need to have a piano?
We have a high-quality portable keyboard that can be used for venues without a piano. This also means we can perform at outdoor venues as long as there is access to a power source. A shaded or covered area is prefered, and obviously we will not be able to perform outside if there is rain.
Do you play at locations outside of the Brisbane Metropolitan area?
Yes, we will travel to locations about one hour's drive from Brisbane- e.g Mt Tambourine, Gold Coast, Caboolture. Check with us to see if your location is suitable. This will also incur an additional travel cost.
When should I have music during my wedding ceremony?
Traditionally, music is usually played a few minutes before the ceremony begins, as the bride walks down the isle, during the signing of the register, while the married couple walk out and a few minutes after the ceremony. Sometimes music is also played for hymns or items- or you can have music for whatever you like!
How much does hiring L'Beat for a wedding ceremony cost?
We charge the rate of one hour for a wedding ceremony that consists of the following:
- 10 minutes background music both before and after ceremony
- Music when walking up the isle
- Music when signing the register
- Music when walking down the isle
For music at other times as well as those listed please contact us for a quote or visit the fees page.

Do you lead bush dances?
We can play all the traditional Australian and English bush dances but we don't teach bush dancing. So if you want your guests to learn how to bush dance at your event, you will also need to hire someone who teaches bush dancing.
